A friend of mine travelled to the States for his High school, and I wished my parents would send me too. Three years later, my friend was deported for drugs trafficking without any certificate, and when he saw me, he wished he never went abroad.

Oh! God, forgive me when I whine

I have my Basic Certificate

Beulah is right.

My school went on an excursion to a place and while there, I saw a group of boys playing football. I wish I was with them. After the excursion, we went to buy snacks close to the field and I talked to one of the boys that just left the field. I realized he couldn’t speak English and I also observed that he was longing to have a conversation with me.

Oh! God forgive me when I whine

I can speak English and communicate

Beulah is right.

Our Principal insisted that we use our set of cutlery all the time. To me, it made no sense especially when I could use my hands to mould my balls of garri, only for me to attend a social gathering and I realized that I was the only teenager who knew how to use cutleries, and others were trying to imitate me.

Oh! God forgive me when I whine

I can use my cutlery set

Beulah is right

Our school insisted that all the students own a laptop and I complained about the unnecessary expenditure on our parents until we had a computer based quiz in church where I saw other students who were afraid to press the keyboard. I realized they had not used the computer before.

Oh! God forgive me when I whine

I can use the computer

Beulah is right.

A friend told me that going for prep was not compulsory in their school and that they miss classes without punishment. I wished I was in their school, only for the Basic Education Certificate Examination result to be released and he failed woefully. He wished prep was compulsory in their school.

Oh! God forgive me when I whine

I passed my BECE very well

Beulah is right

Oh! God forgive my many whining!

I am blessed

BEULAH IS INDEED RIGHT!
